for using the "full install version" of foxpro-based PRBO
data programs
If you don't own a copy
of Visual Foxpro, you will need to download the "runtime"
version in order to use PRBO's data programs on your computer.
For the most recent full install, click the "setup.exe" link, choose to save the file
on your local hard drive. After downloading, double-click the file to run the install-shield
program. The required files will be installed to c:\program files\PRBO\.
To install an older version (VFP3 - only for pre-WinXP machines):
Click the "full
install" link
If prompted, choose to
download the .zip file
Once the download has
completed, unzip the file (eg. prbonestinstall.zip or prbopcinstall.zip).
If you don't already own un-zipping software, you'll need to download
some, such as Winzip
or Aladdin Expander.
Open the resulting folder
and find and double-click "setup.exe"
Setup should guide you
through the installation process - which creates a folder on your
C drive (eg. PRBO_nest or PRBO_pc).
Important: Download the most
recent version of the relevant .exe file (eg. nest.exe or pointcnt.exe), replacing
the one in the new folder.
Find and double-click
the .exe file in the new folder (eg. nest.exe or pointcnt.exe)
If prompted with a list
of file types, choose VFP300 off the list (should be represented
by an orange fox icon).
