PRBO's 31st Annual
Bird-A-Thon
September 1 through October 15, 2008!
New!
|
Grab your binoculars and get ready for the longest running Bird-A-Thon in the US. Each year, PRBO's Bird-A-Thon raises over $100,000 to help fund our critically acclaimed research and education programs. Participate this fall and help us exceed our goal of $130,000!
What is a Bird-A-Thon?
A Bird-A-Thon is like a walk-a-thon where individuals or teams count the total number of bird species seen or heard in a 24 hour period. Each counter solicits pledges from friends, relatives, and businesses for each bird species found during that 24 hours.
Why participate in PRBO's Bird-A-Thon?
- Raise money to conserve birds, other wildlife and their ecosystems throughout the West, Latin America and Antarctica.
- Win prizes – spotting scopes, binoculars and more.
- Have fun getting outdoors to bird anywhere in the world!
