Proceeds Benefit PRBO Conservation Science’s work on the
California Bird Species of Special Concern Project

The California Bird Species of Special Concern List identifies declining and vulnerable species that are at risk of future extirpation from the state if current trends continue. A monograph on BSSC, in the advanced stages of preparation, will include full species accounts for > 60 taxa.

Five of these taxa – Greater Sage Grouse, Tricolored Blackbird, Large-billed Savannah Sparrow, Tufted Puffin, and Mountain Plover – are depicted in their natural habitats in these stunning Limited Edition prints by renowned wildlife artist Keith Hansen of Bolinas, California.  Keith was commissioned to paint this plate, which will serve as the cover for the BSSC monograph to be published by Western Field Ornithologists in collaboration with California Department of Fish and Game and PRBO Conservation Science.

Proceeds from the sale of these limited edition prints will be used to complete the editing of this lengthy volume.

The cost of each print is $75, which does not include framing or matting. 

Each of the prints in this Limited Edition run of 240 are printed on archival quality paper and are individually signed by the artist.
